Alchemy is provided by NiftyBot LLC. This Privacy Policy describes how NiftyBot LLC collects, uses, discloses, retains, and otherwise processes information when you use the Alchemy iOS app, the consumer website at cookwithalchemy.com, and related services, features, content, and communications that link to this policy.
This Privacy Policy applies to consumer-facing Alchemy surfaces and does not apply to third-party websites, services, or applications that may be linked from Alchemy or used to sign you in.

We may also receive information from authentication providers and service providers that help us operate Alchemy, such as Apple, Google, cloud infrastructure providers, storage and database providers, analytics and error-monitoring tools, and AI model providers.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide, maintain, secure, and debug Alchemy
- authenticate users and manage accounts
- generate, rank, personalize, import, structure, save, and improve recipes and related outputs
- remember context across sessions and provide memory-based personalization
- respond to support requests and feedback

3. AI Features, Memory, and Chat History
Alchemy is an AI-driven recipe product. To provide chat, recipe generation, personalization, import, and memory features, we process your prompts, chat transcripts, imported source material, saved outputs, preference signals, and related context through our internal systems and through third-party AI model providers acting on our behalf.
Alchemy keeps chat history and contextual records so the service can work across sessions and so we can operate, evaluate, secure, improve, and develop the product.
You may be able to clear Alchemy's active memory substrate from the app settings. Resetting memory is intended to clear what Alchemy has actively learned for future personalization, but it does not necessarily delete every underlying transcript, import, log, or operational record.
4. Third-Party AI Model Providers
Core features of Alchemy, including recipe generation, chat, ingredient parsing, personalization, and import, are powered by large language models and AI services provided by third parties. When you use these features, content you submit — including prompts, chat messages, recipe requests, pasted text, imported links, photos, and related context — is transmitted to one or more of these providers for processing.
We do not disclose the specific AI providers we use. We may add, remove, or replace AI providers at any time without notice. Each third-party AI provider processes your submitted data under its own privacy policy and terms of service. We encourage you to review those policies. Depending on the provider and the applicable agreement between us and that provider, data transmitted to a provider may be used by the provider for safety monitoring, abuse prevention, model evaluation, or model improvement, subject to the provider's data use policies and any contractual restrictions we have negotiated.
We do not control how third-party AI providers process, store, or use data once transmitted to them beyond the terms of our agreements with those providers. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party AI providers with respect to data processed through their systems.
By using Alchemy's AI-powered features, you understand and agree that your inputs will be transmitted to third-party AI providers as described in this section.
5. How We Share Information
We disclose information to vendors and service providers that help us run Alchemy, including hosting, content delivery, database, storage, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, and AI or machine-learning providers.
We do not disclose a specific list of vendors. Categories of providers include hosting and content delivery, database and storage, authentication, analytics and error monitoring, customer support, and AI or machine-learning services.
We may also disclose information:
- when you direct us to do so
- when necessary to protect Alchemy, NiftyBot LLC, our users, or others
- in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, or sale of assets
- when required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the service, maintain safety and security, improve Alchemy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and keep appropriate business records.
Retention periods vary depending on the type of information. Account details, feedback, diagnostics, generated recipe records, telemetry, model-evaluation artifacts, and chat or context data may be retained for different periods, and some records may be retained longer than others even after you stop using Alchemy.
7. Memory Reset and Account Deletion
Alchemy may offer a memory reset control in the app settings. That feature is intended to clear what Alchemy has actively learned from prior chats and recipe ideas for future personalization, but it is not a promise that every underlying transcript, import, log, or operational record will be deleted.
If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify personal data associated with your account to the extent required by applicable law and our internal retention obligations. However, we may retain chat transcripts, prompts, context, imported materials, generated outputs, derived records, and related operational or analytical data for our internal business purposes, including operating, securing, analyzing, improving, training, and developing Alchemy, as well as for legal compliance, recordkeeping, and dispute resolution.
Where feasible, we may disassociate retained records from direct account identifiers, but some retained records may still be considered personal information under applicable law.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or portability of certain personal information, and to appeal or limit certain processing in some circumstances. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request, and rights may be limited by law.
You may be able to manage certain information directly in Alchemy, including saved preferences and memory reset controls. You may disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. You may also contact us at privacy@niftybot.ai to request help with privacy rights or account deletion.

12. International Use
Alchemy is operated from the United States and may be processed or stored in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those locations may have data protection laws that differ from the laws where you live.
By using Alchemy, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your home jurisdiction, subject to applicable legal requirements.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through Alchemy, by updating the effective date, or through other appropriate means.
Your continued use of Alchemy after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means the updated Privacy Policy applies to your use, to the extent permitted by law.
